I frequently ask my self whether I want to put the energy in or not before starting (go/no-go), and I have no issues pulling out mid-stream if efforts are flailing (sunk cost avoidance).
But pre-specifying that tipping point could be quite useful I think. Somewhat analogous to Annie Duke's notion of establishing apriori quitting criteria.
I often think about this concept, plus the idea of minimal effective dose and how that applies. Such a great piece
Thanks for your comments. How do you apply the dose-response idea to your life?
(And of course feel free to share the post around if you found it valuable!)
Faster and more is not always the way to go, but we've been conditioned to believe it.

Great analogies!
Things to ask oneself: Where is my personal tipping point for this activity?
Do you make the effort to regularly ask yourself this question?

Many thanks for sharing! Have got my direct message?
